A glorious project from the New Zealand bread now NYC based band Fredericks Brown. Comprised of keyboardist Steph Brown, trumpeter & guitarist Michael Taylor & singer Deva Mahal, daughter of blues legend Taj Mahal, they carve their lane with this new ep released on the Munich label Jazz & Milk Recordings. The ep features 2 tracks, the banging afro broken beat soul of the tune "Betrayal" & the bluesy soul pop title track. On the vinyl release the tune "Plenty" gets 2 remix treatments, an afrobeat remix from Dusty & an uptempo nujazz remix from Andreas Saag.
